Add-on Suite Overview
The EdgeOne Free Plan Add-on Suite is a feature unlock suite introduced for users of the free plan. After subscribing, free plan users can enable advanced features such as Smart Acceleration, QUIC, image/audio/video processing, Edge Functions, and offline logs on demand without upgrading to a paid plan, and they also receive corresponding SLA guarantee services.
Note:
1. The Add-on Suite is only applicable to users of the Free Plan. If you have subscribed to a Personal, Basic, Standard, or Enterprise Edition plan, the aforementioned features are already included in your plan, so you do not need to purchase the Add-on Suite separately.
2. After subscribing to the Add-on Suite, you can unlock features such as Smart Acceleration, QUIC, Image/Audio/Video Processing, Edge Functions, and Offline Logs. Among these, Smart Acceleration, Image Processing, and Offline Logs do not incur usage consumption. The usage generated by Audio/Video Processing, Edge Functions, and QUIC will be billed in the postpaid manner. Please monitor your usage consumption. For details, see the feature descriptions below.

Note:
If the subscription start date does not have a corresponding date in the next calendar month, a 31-day period is used as the billing cycle. For example, if a subscription starts on March 31, and April does not have a 31st, 31 days are directly added to the subscription start date to determine the plan expiration date. Therefore, the plan expiration date is May 1.

Quota Policy
After you subscribe to the Add-on Suite, the Smart Acceleration feature is automatically unlocked. During the subscription period, the traffic and requests generated by Smart Acceleration are not counted towards usage consumption, and no billing invoices are generated. To ensure the overall service quality of the platform and guarantee the optimal performance of the services corresponding to the Add-on Suite, the system tracks the Smart Acceleration usage per billing cycle according to the following rules:
When the monthly Smart Acceleration request volume does not exceed 10 million, you fully enjoy SLA service guarantees.
When the monthly Smart Acceleration request volume exceeds 10 million, the usage is still not billed. However, the service priority for that domain is adjusted accordingly, and the acceleration performance is affected to some extent.
At the start of the next billing cycle, the quota policy is automatically removed, and no manual operation is required.
Overdue Payment and Expiration
The billing model for the Free Plan Add-on Suite is exactly the same as that for the EdgeOne plans. For information on overdue payments and expiration, see the Overdue and Expiration Policies section. If you fail to renew your subscription in a timely manner or if your account has an overdue payment, the normal use of the value-added service features will be affected.
Add-on Suite Expiration Without Renewal: After the isolation state is entered, the unlocked value-added service features are automatically disabled, and the related configurations are cleared simultaneously.
Account Overdue Payment: After the isolation state is entered, the unlocked value-added service features are automatically disabled, and the related configurations are cleared simultaneously.
To avoid service interruption, it is recommended to renew your subscription in advance or maintain a sufficient account balance.
Refund
Refunds for the Add-on Suite are categorized into the following two scenarios:
Manual Refund: It is initiated by the user proactively in the console. After the refund is completed, the unlocked value-added service features are automatically disabled, and the related configurations are cleared simultaneously.
Automatic Refund: When a Free Plan is upgraded to any paid plan, the system automatically initiates the refund process for the Add-on Suite. After the refund is completed, the value-added service features and configurations remain unchanged, and the corresponding feature entitlements are taken over by the upgraded plan.

FAQs
Q: After the Add-on Suite is purchased, do I need to manually enable each feature?
A: The Add-on Suite itself provides the eligibility to unlock features. After subscribing, you can manually enable the required features (such as Smart Acceleration, QUIC, image/video processing, and so on) in the Site Acceleration configuration or the Rule Engine of the console.
Q: After the Add-on Suite expires, what happens to the enabled features?
A: After the isolation state is entered due to expiration without renewal, features such as Smart Acceleration, QUIC, and image/audio/video processing are automatically disabled. Domains that have enabled these features are automatically switched back to the free service platform. It is recommended to renew your subscription in advance to avoid service interruption.
Q: If I upgrade to a paid plan, how is the Add-on Suite handled?
A: When you upgrade from the Free Plan to a Personal/Basic/Standard/Enterprise Edition plan, the system automatically refunds the remaining fees for the Add-on Suite to you, and no manual action is required.
Q: Can multiple Add-on Suites be stacked?
A: Each Free Plan supports subscription to only one Add-on Suite. Stacking purchases is not supported.
Q: How are the excess fees for features such as QUIC and MPS settled?
A: The excess portion is billed in the postpaid hourly settlement manner, and the billing rules remain consistent with the corresponding billing items of other plans. Additionally, the usage of QUIC requests and MPS supports deduction using Extra packages.
Q: Are the features of the Add-on Suite covered by an SLA?
A: SLA guarantees are provided with distinctions. Smart Acceleration traffic and requests are not counted towards usage consumption and are free to use, enjoying partial SLA guarantees. After you enable value-added service features such as QUIC, image/audio/video processing, and Edge Functions, the billed usage generated by the related domains will be fully covered by SLA guarantees. Q: Why does the message "Site plan change in progress, temporarily unavailable. It will be automatically unlocked after the change is completed. Please wait patiently." appear?
A: After you subscribe to an Add-on Suite, the system automatically migrates your domain to a resource platform with SLA guarantees. During the migration, to ensure the completeness and accuracy of configuration switching, related features are temporarily locked and will be automatically unlocked and restored after the migration is completed. If the Add-on Suite expires and is not renewed, the system also automatically migrates the domain back to the standard free platform, and the SLA guarantees are terminated accordingly. Therefore, during the migration, the text prompt "Site plan change in progress, temporarily unavailable. It will be automatically unlocked after the change is completed. Please wait patiently." appears.
