DDoS Defender Renewed Guide
Note:
1. The billing model below applies to customers onboarded after 12 January 2026.
2. DDoS Defender can be attached only to EdgeOne Standard or Enterprise Plan zones (domains and L4 proxy instances); other EdgeOne plan versions are not supported.
If you have subscribed to DDoS Defender, and you need to perform manual renewal before package expiration or set auto-renew upon expiration, please perform the following steps.
Manual Renewal
You can perform manual renewal as needed. See the following steps:
1. Log in to the Tencent Cloud EdgeOne console and click DDoS plan management in the left sidebar.
2. On the DDoS package management page, click renew now.
3. In the pop-up package renewal window, select renewal duration, check agree to the service agreement, and click confirm.
4. Navigate to the payment confirmation page. Check to use voucher (if any) and click submit order.
5. Submit your order, select the corresponding payment method, and pay.
Automatic Renewal
If you do not want to perform manual renewal, Tencent Cloud offers auto-renewal. After enabling auto-renewal, the system will automatically renew your package before expiration for one month. Ensure your account has sufficient balance, otherwise renewal will fail. You can toggle on the auto-renew switch in the DDoS plan management page. The specific operation method is as follows:
1. Log in to the Tencent Cloud EdgeOne console and click DDoS plan management in the left sidebar.
2. On the DDoS package management page, click enable auto-renewal.
Note:
After enabling auto-renewal for the package, the system will execute the renewal operation 1 day before expiration.
If auto-renewal failed due to insufficient account balance or other reasons, the system will continue retry renewal until successful renewal or plan destruction.
