Image Generation Solutions: Image Renderer on EdgeOne

Open Edge is a technology open co-creation platform created by Tencent Cloud EdgeOne for developers. EdgeOne launched the edge 'Image renderer' application in late September, and the following will introduce you in detail to the features of edge image rendering.

What is the Image Renderer?

Image Renderer uses the edge computing capabilities of Tencent Cloud EdgeOne to customize design templates and generate personalized images in batches. Meet the image distribution needs of real-time dynamic scenarios such as e-commerce and advertising.

What scenarios are relevant?

There are a variety of applicable scenarios for image rendering, and the following describes some common scenarios:

• E-commerce Promotion: It is suitable for the promotional event cover displayed in the product window of the e-commerce app/website, and the promotion amount and product description can be flexibly configured.
• Advertising and Marketing: It is suitable for marketing advertisements with high timeliness requirements, which can be dynamically set up and distributed to improve the click-through rate and conversion rate of advertisements through ABTest.
• Social Media Sharing: It is suitable for designing social media sharing templates and highly interactive social media content, such as polls and Q&As or event promotions, to effectively increase fan engagement and interaction.
• Enterprise Recruitment: It is suitable for designing enterprise recruitment advertising templates, replacing job information, and publishing them quickly, in batches, and through multiple channels to expand the coverage of recruitment information.
• Certificate Generation: It is suitable for enterprises or organizations to quickly produce winners' certificates, save time and labor costs, quickly share electronic certificates through social media, and enhance the winners' sense of achievement and honor.
• Banner Solutions: It’s suitable for eye-catching banner ads full of personalization that grab attention and convey your message. They are incredibly versatile and come in a wide range of sizes, designs, and placements, making them ideal for both physical and digital spaces. They are commonly used and strategically placed for advertising, marketing, celebrations, and special announcements.

Operation Guide

1. Enable Open Edge

open Tencent Cloud Console and enter EdgeOne. In the left menu bar, expand Open Edge, and click to enter Image Renderer, If you have not applied for activation before, you need to apply for permission to open it for the first time, please click Activate Now

2. Create a new image template

After the activation is successful, you can create an image template on the homepage, and you can choose "Create from Template Gallery" or manually "Create Empty Template" by yourself.

2.1 Create a template from the template Gallery

After clicking "Create from Template Gallery", you can select the desired template on the template library page, and click "Import" to use the template.

2.2 Create a empty template

After clicking "Create Empty Template", an empty sample template is automatically created.

3. Edit the image template

After entering the template editing page, the editing panel is on the left, and the real-time preview panel is on the right.

You can write HTML and CSS code for templates to beautify the content structure and style of images, and you can also use preset-rich fonts.

After setting the variable in the HTML, you can replace the variable slot in the Data column to achieve the effect of dynamically modifying the template.

You can also modify the template name, template description, and other content and adjust the width and height settings of the template stage.

To allow users to use in bulk and distribute quickly, we also provide functions such as API calls and generating access links to improve user productivity. (Please refer to the Help section on the right for detailed instructions.)

4. Save the image template

Once you have edited the template, you can click "Save" to save the changes. (If you accidentally log out, the system will also prompt you to save)

Saved templates can be viewed on the homepage.

1. Is there a charge for edge image rendering?

Edge image rendering is currently a free feature, so you can use it with complete confidence.

2. Can Edge Image Rendering Support More Output Formats?

Currently, only PNG formats are supported, and more formats will be supported in the future, such as JPG, WEBP, AVIF, PDF, and other formats.

3. How do I optimize my feedback?

You can click the "Feedback" button to provide feedback on your needs and questions, and we will contact you as soon as possible and solve your problems.
